Every tasting note on this site starts with Matt’s original reviews, tastings, blinds, and comparisons going back to September, 2019, and is then organized into a standardized flavor database for deeper analysis. The tasting note data is currently based on 517 bottles, with 444 of the 1113 videos Matt has made still left to go through. This lets us uncover patterns that would otherwise be impossible to see. For example, “oaky” and “great oak” both become part of the “Oak” tasting note.
